Baby Doll

Yvan's parents, Gerard and Yvonne, just got back from 2 weeks in the Dominican.

They brought Yvan a nice bottle of rum and they brought me this:

Isn't he cute!! I love him!!!

"He?" you say - oh yes this baby doll is a he! "How do you know?" you ask!

Well, he has all his bits and pieces! But since this blog is G rated o.k - P.G. - I can't show you but trust me its a boy!

What a wonderful present Rana - so thoughtful and probably just what you needed!! I can't wait to hear your good news. By the way - we went to Nuevo Vallarta.

What a great gift. Brown baby dolls are hard to find. Especially ones that teach anatomical lessons at the same time. :) When my sisters and I were little my parents got us a boy doll so we would know that half of the population looked different than us. :)

I would love to email or chat sometime, I'm at: natgardesigns@yahoo.ca

Ok, I am giggling like crazy over here, picturing you checking his diaper for boy parts :) You have a beautiful baby boy!

That is too cute and too funny. Next time I hear of any friends going there I'm definitely asking them to bring me back one of those.

He's so cute! And I can picture you deciding to check if he was really a he...

Now come on little one to play with this doll!

Now you need to give him a good Ethiopian name! (We named our brown baby doll Solomon.)

Ok... the anatomically correct doll is cracking me up. Did the in-laws know it was a "real" boy??

Hi Rana,

My name is Deena and I was just reading your blog post. Were your in-laws in Punta Cana by chance? My husband and I have 2 kids from Ethiopia and we were approached while on vacation the last couple of weeks by 2 couples who said their kids were waiting on referrals from Ethiopia.

It's a small world!

what are you calling him

Bolt Upright - the in-laws didn't know it was a boy until I looked and told them...I'm not shy about looking to check.

Deena - my in-laws were just in Punta Cana for 2 weeks!! They are so excited and can't wait for us to get a referral.

Maggie - I am not sure what to name him - any suggestions.
