October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

My sister, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in Mar'09, at age 40, is a survivor. We celebrate anything to do with breast cancer survival.

What she and I wish is that more research and investment would be done into natural/homeopathic treatment options for cancer patients. Though she went through surgery and chemo, and though we are very grateful that she had those options, she is also actively pursuing multiple natural options to help prevent the disease from returning. What's been fascinating to learn is that there are only three naturopathic oncologists in all of Canada. She's had to do every bit of research and legwork on her own. I'm hoping someday she writes a book with everything she's had to struggle to learn on her own, so that others might benefit.

Thankfully, she's doing great and we are so grateful.

Thanks for being aware!

Blessings,

Ruth

I don't know if it's because I'm getting older but I just seem to be hearing about more and more people I know with cancer. Two good friends have been diagnosed in the past year. It's a tough fight and so scary... When will all the pain and suffering and worry be a thing of the past? Soon I hope.
