A Haiku By BCMommy

A Haiku on Sucking

Adoption Waiting
It sucks like a sucky thing
but you will get through

By BCMommy

O.k. Peeps! It seems the challenge is on!!! Don't let the fact the she is from B.C. deter you!

I want to see your Haiku's and oh ya, I will do one too!

Pretty please, I need the laughter right now! Its been a long 19 months!

(I 'm totally trying to guilt you it working?)

P.S. BCMommy has a real name but since her blog is private I am not posting it

Edited to add - I will be posting the Haiku's daily and whoever makes me laugh the hardest gets a prize...a framed version of the photo below :) come know you want it!

All this chocolate.
Who said I wouldn't have to
deal with baby weight?

ha ha haaaaaa...I'm famous!

They said this would suck
And though I knew it'd be hard,
I had hope for some luck.

Alas, it does suck
And I am losing my mind,
Constantly thinking,

What the f*#^??!

I apologize if I have offended anyone, but this came from the heart!

Great challenge. I'll have to think about this one.

Dude, I'm from Ontario. We don't do haiku.

However, if you want a rant, complete with rude gestures, done in 4 lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic DOING 120 while putting on mascara and talking on a cellphone... WELL THEN. I'm yer girl.

haha..funny challenge, ok I will do my best. Thinking cap where are you?

BCMommy said...

Cinn, we do that here in BC and I sound like kindred spirits, actually...I think I did all those things just yesterday. Hmmm...

Cinn, of all people you should be doing the Haiku! Ontario Smontario!!!

Your haiku would ROCK! I know it.

Tova said...

Maybe you could remind me of the rules of a Haiku since I haven't done one since Grade 5. Also, apparently I have a disadvantage being from BC...but like the should see my multi tasking skills while driving!!

Tova said...

Hey BCMommy,

Where are you located...we are in Van!

PS. Is it rude to talk to someone else on your blog, Rana?

CinnamonOpus said...

The closest we come in Ontario to haiku is Hai Karate.

(that's not entirely true. the placecards at my wedding had cat haiku on them.)

But I will try to come up with something.

Desire, hunger, need
Heartbeat, blood flowing, needing, sucking

Ok, sorry its lame but those little blood suckers are on the brain... and body! and with the whole sucking topic of the moment... well this is what spewed forth!
Plus I am hoping you like the possible vampire spin. ;)

Tova, you mistook my comment about not letting BCMommy deter people 'cause she is from B.C.

I meant with all that fresh mountain air you guys have it is easier for you!!!

And of course it isn't rude to talk to someone else on blog...this is a place of fun and friendship!

The wait must end soon
Or I may end up
Putting my dogs in strollers.

Yeah, I'm not so good with the haiku.

I'm more a sarcasm kind of girl.

This was more fun than working tonight. Here are my first attempts (not sticking to the 5-7-5 rule):

The phone rings. Your heart leaps.
Are you the lady of the house?
No lady here. Kiss my arse

A watched pot never boils.
A watched phone never rings.
I hate them both.

Up Down Up Down,
Hope rises and falls daily.
Like a new bride’s pajamas.

Here ya go Rana,

Still no referral?
My trusty Magic 8 ball
has failed me again.

Rana and Yvan said...

Sadly, the 8 ball has led us both referral for us this time around :(

Okay I suck at making Haiku's, but my fav's so far are
Brendan and Mary and Alex! Using Kidslink and dropping the F bomb in the Haiku made me laugh. Not that the others didn't, but those two really did.

- Seems that you do Cin!

Waiting to adopt
Takes the strength of elephants
And a heart of steel

Call the agency
Afraid to ask the question
Don't want the answer

Will this week be a great week
Or will kleenex win?

Rollercoaster ride
Heart doing the loop de loop
For ultimate prize

Good challenge Rana,
but I likely have to stick
to my day time job...

CinnamonOpus said...

Okay. I have one. It's not very good. I got an F in Haiku Class in high school.

Waiting, it is ass.
It is enough to make you
Drink in the morning.
