Fall Equinox

The Fall Equinox is upon us. Summer has officially come to an end and fall has arrived.

I am feeling a bit gloomy these days. I think the 10 month blues have set in....I was warned....but I didn't think it would happen. Not to me...I am strong right? Hmmmm...guess I was wrong!

I came across this poem in an article on Marilyn Monroe in Vanity Fair magazine. It is signed by T.S. Eliot but was more likely written by Norman Rosten.

Whoever wrote it sums up quite nicely how I am feeling these days:

"The leaves are turning
from red to gold,
when are you coming home?
We're all getting old."

Big hugs! Stupid 10 month blues, I have the 14.5 month blues, and all I want to do is cry and then cry some more. A girls weekend will be just what the adoption doctor ordered, sigh....

Sigh.

Hugs to you!

Very nice poem. Nice in that it puts the feeling into words well. Not nice however to be feeling that way.
Hugs to you from me as well!

Hang in there Rana! It's hard but it will be all worth it.

What a perfect quote! Although I wish for you that it wasn't true!

Once again, Rana the Guru, you've found something spot-on to define that frustrating, challenging time of waiting. But like Ricki's famous backwards ticker showed, all the time you're waiting, remember the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer and closer. Not quickly enough, I know, but it is. And so go enjoy that girls' weekend and know that when it's over, you'll be one more step closer to that great day.

Hugs and good vibes from here...
