Confession Friday

I confess it is a long weekend which means 3 days of having Yvan home to help me keep the wee one entertained!

I confess I went for cocktails with 2 fantastic girlfriends this week and it felt good to 1.) Have an adult drink (or two). 2.) Talk to people who get how hard parenting can be and laugh at our parent-fail moments.

I confess I may have gone a little overboard this week when shopping for Easter goodies to hide for the wee one. No chocolate but fun toys! Can't wait to hide stuff in the backyard Sunday morning for him to find.

I confess we had a busy day yesterday - 2 playdates and then a neighbourhood walk before bedtime. All of this activity makes for a tired boy.

I confess I played Paul Simon's "Graceland" for Ade the other day and he looked at me like I was nuts. Then I played Muse's "Uprising" and he rocked out! Fist pumping and everything! (Right now he is dancing like Mad to the Adele)

I confess the Easter Bunny may not have purchased any chocolate for the boy but he may have for mama and papa!!

I confess we still have hard days. I have to remind myself we have only been home 3 months (next week) and it is all still new for all 3 of us.

I confess we watched the newest Harry Potter movie last night.

I confess I am reading " The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" right now....I hope it gets better because this first chapter is boring with a capital B! Anyone have any good book recommendations?

I confess we are wishing a Happy Easter and Earth Day to all!

Yeah, we have chocolate bunnies and eggs here that might get eaten by the adults too. Whoops.

I am pleased to see your son's choice in music! Rock on with your groovy self, little man!

And good for you for getting out for walks and fun times this week! It is good for the soul.

Have a great long weekend!

Hang in there on the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo... it takes FOREVER to get going, but then you'll find you can't put it down (it gets seriously intense!)... now I'm going to download Graceland... have it on CD, but totally want it on itunes now that you mention it!

Happy Easter!! A

Aw, a dancin' boy. So cute!

I recently read "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett and "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese. They were both fantastic and the second book is set partially in Ethiopia. I did like the "Dragon Tatoo" series and read all three books. They are great, once they get going.

Happy Easter!

Mini and I get our groove on to Adele a lot these days.

Book recommendations: I'm reading Little Princes right now and it's good. I loved Sara's Key (but it's sad). I also just recently red Open (Andre Agassi's book) and it was a real page turner - it helps if you ever watched tennis in your younger days.

Confession: I started reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo when we to E. to get Mimi. I wasn't thrilled with the beginning either. I read it until the day we met Mimi and never bothered finishing it. So many people recommend it so I know I should get back to it but just haven't bothered. I don't think I got far enough into it.

3 months home already! WOW! I found a huge difference from 3 months to 6 months. We are so much more settled now. Hope you have a great Easter and that the wee one enjoys his hunt for his treats!
