Confession Friday

I confess today I am feeling sad and lonely.

I confess it has been a long week and while I was feeling the upside of things last week this week has been more of a slight slide downhill.

I confess I don't think it will ever be spring or summer here where I live. It is -16 this morning.

I confess there is a direct link between my mood and the weather. Because if I have nothing lined up for the week and I can't get outside for a walk at the very least it leaves me very sad indeed.

I confess this confession isn't as upbeat as last week. This leads me to believe the PPD support group leaders are right...there will be ups and there will be downs...

I confess I was happy to see MOWA issuing letters to families this week....now we just need to get everyone their letters...there are people who have been waiting way to long to be united with their children.

I confess it is date night Friday. This is something to look forward to.

I confess I could use a trip somewhere hot and tropical. Preferably where they serve drinks with umbrellas in them.

I confess I went to Costco last night with my sis-in-law and only spent $45...uh, ya $45!!!! That is some kind of miracle!

I confess thanks to a my excellent friend Lori I now have one new CD in my car stereo!

I confess it has been a long time since I escaped into a good book and I need to get my read on!

I confess I could really use a nice cold beer tonight!

Call me! I'm not having enlightening conversations with my kid. Being stuck indoors is no fun no. The most exciting thing on my agenda today is a trip to the grocery store.

I'm glad it's date night for you, though. Something to look forward to!

Oh, combing SAD and PAD at the SAME TIME - ouch. I deal with SAD too and it's a huge bummer even in our relatively temperate climate. -16? I just can't even begin to imagine. Hopefully soon the looooooooong summer days will begin to recharge your batteries!

I am going to prescribe something for you...tonight, you need to curl up with a good book and a tall glass of beer (a glass of wine sounds better with that scenario, but you said you wanted beer!)

-16 sucks! It's a balmy -4 here...maybe you want to come for a visit? It's not exactly tropical, but it is supposed to get up to 0 by Sunday!

My mood is very impacted by the weather. Crappy here as well- woke up to snow today- GROSS!!! If misery loves company- I will tell you that I have not read a book since Leul came home. I now almost go to bed when he does!

I here ya, it feels like spring will never come and it makes a person feel blah, blah. -18 over here this morning, I know how you are feel. A tropical drink somewhere really warm would be great.

I wish we could be on a COMFY couch somewhere together today. I am spent from a night of partying and it is cold and rainy and cloudy here... I could use your company;)

Aw, big hugs to you, Rana. I think I have a bit of the SADS too. I am always a bit more grumpy when it is gray and cold. My mood definitely improves when it's warm and the sun comes out.

Slushy umbrella drinks would be so nice! Why is it only 9:50am....? C'mon 5 o'clock!

Only $45 - WHAT is wrong with you??? Are you sure you didn't miss a 1 at the front of that.

And come on MOWA...

Definitely go for the cold beer tonight. I'm ready for one too. I would highly recommend the tropical vacation. We just got back from the DR and a little sun, sand and free drinks did wonders for my psyche. The only problem is, I wish I was still there.

I shall have to bring the beer to both you and Mary! :) It's a grey day here and so everyone is a bit glum. One of those days best spent watching TV, reading, ignoring children, and generally wasting time.

And yes, it's an up and down journey, but the general trend will be up!

yup, definitely ups and downs! I hope the sun comes your way b/c it is really helping me out here!

Hope you have fun tonight Rana. xo

My mood depends on the weather too - I think most people are feeling that now. Really summer will get here!

Hope a little spring comes your way soon, it really does make a difference! And yes, this is definitely a two-steps-forward-one-step-back process that we're in the middle of here...
