Finally on to the Immigration Stage!!

The last stage of what seems to be our never ending adoption.

Immigration!!!!!!!!

I know it seems silly to be celebratory but we had a wee celebration tonight and maybe a tear or two were shed.

It, as many of you know, has been an extremely long haul.

The year anniversary of our referral is next week - who would have thought we would only be at the immigration stage just now...not me that is for sure.

We are still being very cautious - immigration processing used to take 3 weeks, now it can be anywhere from 6 weeks to 16 weeks!!!

But still, we are celebrating in our small way.

I really need to get the room done, clothes purchased, the home child-proofed!

If you build it, he will come!!!!

Say it with me!

IF YOU BUILD IT! HE WILL COME!!

P.S. I might have a had a cocktail or two tonight to celebrate so please excuse any grammatical errors on my part :0

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations! There was definitely cause for celebrations tonight! We are so happy for you and cannot wait until your adorable boy is home! Hell, we can't wait until you're out of this country!!!! Happy shopping and preparations mama. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Fricken Right, your on to your Immigration stage!!! This is awesome, radical, funky, superduper....(i had a cocktail or two myself.....but I don't have a reason...)
Tip from me....
get that room done...get clothes bought...get packing list and start slowly putting things in there....cause doggonit this last wait is the hardest(in a good way) and if you wait until the end like moi.....you'll be in the Frankfurt airport hospital too due to trying to pack that ALL into 3 days...!!!
( I noticed I like to use lots of periods.........)
hmmmmmm

oh yeah...BOOYAH, your on the last stage. BOO FRICKIN U HAH....
(and more ........, okay I will tell the truth....i had more than one or two cocktails.!! Holla!

either I drank way too much or your word verification isn't a real word...shmingsh.

Seriously Mary...how did you sneak in a comment first??? I thought I was Rana's only stalker. ;)

Oh and I wrote in my comment I didn't have any reason to have a cocktail or two(or more...) BUT now I can say I did have a reason...Rana and Yvan are on the last stage. Okay...one more in honor of you!

That is great news! Definitely get going on the room! As for the clothes, remember that I am a cautionary tale on that one, and don't buy too much in his current size - the growth spurt once he's home will probably be crazy!

(Oh and Krista, we should all have had such a good Friday night as you. Hee.)

Yippee!! Yes you must build and shop!!! That way you can have something to do during those early morning hours when some people say it is inappropriate to consume too much wine. :)

IF YOU DECORATE! HE WILL COME!

It's time. Go, shop, decorate, and post pictures!

Hugs to you both.

I had been wondering about your status... thanks for the update (glad you had a wee celebration). Sounds like you have some work to do that will make the time go by... if you build it! A

Congrats on finally moving on to the last stages! I'm sorry this has been such a long road for you, but I know it will be SO worth it to get to the finish line!

congratulations on being on the last wait until you meet your precious baby. That deserves some celebrating. Hopefully your visa wait is on the shorter side of the scale and not 16 weeks.
