1000 Awesome Things

I found this blog today on my gym's website - reading how happy our trainer was after reading some of the 1000 awesome things and other members posting some of their favourite things....I thought I would check it out.

And yup...it is awesome.

The 1000 Awesome Things Blog

is a reminder about how many things in life are well....awesome....and sometimes when we get caught up in our own selves we forget about living in the moment.

I know I do...especially right now...o.k. for the last 3 years....I have been living in the future...it is good to be reminded about how much there is that is AWESOME right now!

So, as a continuation from my gym's blog and in the spirit of the 1000 Awesome Things Blog:

Here are 7 things I think are awesome:

1.) holding hands with my husband - this never gets old
2.) having all 4 of my animals snuggling on my lap at once (it happens)
3.)summer rainstorms - sitting on the front deck watching the rain and smelling the freshness of the air.
4.)trying a recipe for the first time and having it turn out
5.)a hot shower after hard work out
6.)vanilla ice cream on a sugar cone
7.)sitting by a campfire wrapped up in a blanket while someone plays the guitar and sings

A Bit More Relaxed Lately

Since we got our court date, we have all been a little more relaxed.

Maybe too relaxed!

2 Weeks away!!!!!!!

Finally - after almost 9 months of waiting!!!

We have a court date!!!

A Wee Me and My Beautiful Momma

My cousin sent me this picture of me when I was wee with my beautiful momma....she would have been about 24 and I would have been about 3 I think.....

My mom also had some old video footage she had my cousin convert to dvd - it is such a trip seeing your mom and you when you both are both so young....it makes the heart swell.

My mom has always been there for me - thru the good and the bad I know I can count on her.

She has been my mom, my dad, my sister, my friend....she shaped me into the woman I am today.

I love her more than she will ever know!

I Heart Michael Franti

So the concert was amazing - after seeing Michael Franti play I was ready to go home...he is FANTASTIC!!

He played out in the audience a lot and was even just a few feet from us singing away!

Oh and John Mayer was o.k. too...

Tomorrow night we are going to see John Mayer in concert.

But what is really exciting is that Michael Franti is opening for him who is also an amazing musician.

Did you know he was adopted?

He is.

Did you know he has a son named Ade?

He does.

Did you know he doesn't like wearing shoes unless he has to and then only flip flops...Wikipedia says it's so!
